Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is an indian scientist, author of several books and administrator who served as the 11th President of India (2002-2007). Before presidency, he worked as an aerospace engineer with 'Defence Research and Development Organisation' (DRDO) and 'Indian Space Research Organisation' (ISRO). He is popularly known as the 'Missile Man of India' for his work on the development of ballistic missile and launch vehicle technology. He is also known for his motivational speeches and interaction with the student community of India. He has received several awards including 'Bharat Ratna', 'Padma Vibhushan', 'Padma Bhushan', 'Veer Savarkar Award', 'Ramanujan Award', 'Doctor of Science'.
